Our journey into children's residential care is driven by a shared ambition: to use the values that shaped our own lives to make a lasting difference to the lives of young people.
As professional athletes, we learned first-hand the importance of discipline, resilience, teamwork and perseverance. Throughout our careers, we experienced success and setbacks, moments of pressure and uncertainty, and the invaluable support of people who believed in us, encouraged us and helped us reach our potential.
We recognise that many children entering residential care have experienced challenges that no young person should ever face. Trauma, neglect, instability, loss and disrupted relationships can leave children feeling unsafe, unheard and uncertain about their future.
At Starting Line Homes, we believe every child deserves more than just a place to live—they deserve a place where they feel safe, valued and able to believe in themselves again.
